Pre-season Match 2

On Thursday 16 boys travelled over to Hayes & Yeading FC in our 2nd pre-season game of the 2018/19 campaign.

The aims and objectives of the games from Manager Kris Hatton was:

“To show us your strengths, show myself and Simon what your best attributes are. We have a long time to work on the areas of improvement but for now i want to see what you can do”

The first half came with a-lot of energy and hard work. We went one goal down but at the time were comfortable and tried to play through the thirds. Our downfall was that we didnt push forward as a squad quick enough to progress forward.

Second half started brilliantly, with at least 70-80% possession with Complete. A tactical change from myself didnt help the team by placing 3 players at the back moving from 4-4-2. It left players and positions stretched and wasn’t a formation that players had experienced and didnt have much understanding or knowledge. We conceded 3 goals in the second half but competed very well.
